If Conditional Type 0

 If Conditional Type 0

Hi guyss! back again with me, on my blog this time I'll discuss about If Conditional Type 0.

Definition of Conditional Type 0
Zero conditional or conditional sentence type 0 is the conditional sentence used when (result / consequence) of condition (condition) is always possible because of scientific merupakankebenaran (  scientific fact ) or a general truth (general truth) which is a habit (habitual action). The dependent clause (if + clause) can be preceded by the word "if" or "when".

We can make a zero conditional sentence with two verbs that are in the simple present form (one in the 'if clause' and the other in the 'main clause'):

If + p resent simple,…. present simple.

The zero conditional sentence is used when the result will always occur . So , if the water reaches 100 degrees , always boils . That is a fact . I'm talking in general , not a situation specific . The result of 'If Clause ' is always the main clause .

"If" in the conditional can usually be replaced by "when" without changing the meaning.

Example: If water reaches 100 degrees, it boils . If the water is cooked to 100 degrees, it will boil (this is something for sure, there will be no difference in this), If I eat peanuts, I am sick. if I eat peanuts, I will get sick.  (this is true but only for me, maybe not for others) but it is still true that I get sick every time I eat peanuts.

Examples:
- If you touch a fire, you get burned.
= If you hold fire, you will burn.
- People die if they don't eat .
= People will die if they don't eat
- You get water if you mix hydrogen and oxygen.
= You will get water, if you mix hydrogen with oxygen.

This is a video about Zero Conditional :

That will be all for now. Hopefully it'll help y'all guys!! Thank You!!
